Advancing Longer, Healthier Lives in Viet Nam

Healthy Longevity Vietnam is a VietnamWellcare initiative advancing evidence, capability, and collaboration for longer, healthier lives in Viet Nam.

We take a life-course approach, connecting global evidence with the Vietnamese context across prevention, healthy aging, functional ability, health systems, science, and responsible innovation.

Longer Life Should Mean Better Health

Viet Nam is undergoing one of the world’s fastest demographic transitions. By 2036, more than one in five people is expected to be aged 60 or older, while noncommunicable diseases already account for around 80% of deaths.

The opportunity is not simply to add years to life, but to help people maintain health, function, participation, and well-being for longer across the life course.

Healthy longevity therefore connects prevention and healthy living with healthcare, supportive environments, social connection, science and technology, and the wider systems that shape health over time.
